5 Tons of Strawberries Exported from Konya

In recent years, Konya has started to export not only cereal products but also various types of fruits.

The first export from the cold storage facility built by Seydişehir Municipality has been carried out.

Mayor Mehmet Tutal stated that 5 tons of strawberries were exported to Romania, Georgia, and Azerbaijan from the cold storage facility with a capacity of 2,500 tons in two days.

Stating that they received the first products from the cold storage facility established on an area of 7,480 square meters, Mayor Mehmet Tutal said, "Our project has solved a significant problem in our district and contributed to the development of our city. Despite the end of the season, we have started exporting our fruits and vegetables, especially strawberries, stored in Seydişehir and the region, to countries such as Georgia, Romania, and Azerbaijan. Our first trucks have left for foreign countries. May it be auspicious for our region and city."
