Harvest Begins at Karatay Lavender Gardens

The harvest has begun at the Karatay Lavender Gardens, established by the Karatay Municipality in the city.

The harvest at the Karatay Lavender Gardens will last for 1 week. After the extraction of oil and water, lavenders will be used as raw material for various products such as oil, soda, ice cream, soap, and cream.

Since July 1st, when the doors were opened to the public, hundreds of thousands of local and foreign guests have been hosted at the Karatay Lavender Gardens established by the Karatay Municipality. Harvest operations have now begun at the gardens.

Tens of thousands of citizens, professional and amateur photography enthusiasts, have made the garden their special destination. They created beautiful shots using lavender in various shades of purple and lilac as backgrounds, using special props, and enjoyed capturing their most special moments.

Following the closure of the Karatay Lavender Gardens to public visits, the harvest operations are being carried out by the Karatay Municipality Parks and Gardens Department teams.
