The Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues its support for farmers in 31 districts by providing them with seedlings and saplings.
Mayor Altay stated that agricultural support will continue to increase in 2025.
Mayor Altay emphasized that their most important priority in rural areas is to increase the welfare level of citizens living in these regions, stating: "We are conducting very valuable work regarding agricultural support. Our agricultural support applications planned for 2025, aimed at the development of Konya agriculture, have started. To ensure rural development and increase the income of our farmers in their regions, we will accept applications until July 31 for 2025 planned support with a 50% grant for apple, grapevine, peach, cherry, walnut, almond, aronia, raspberry, blackberry, and low-water-consuming plants such as chickpea, Hungarian vetch, safflower, sainfoin, and with an 85% grant for medicinal aromatic plants such as thyme, sage, and sumac. Additionally, there is support for pistachio and chestnut saplings in pilot regions."
