Natural Molasses Production from Konya Grapes

The grape harvest in Konya has come to an end. The grapes will undergo various processes to produce natural molasses.


In Konya, the capital of agriculture, the grape harvest has also taken place. The grapes collected from the vineyards will be boiled to obtain molasses.


Grape producer Celalettin Dündar emphasized that no additives were used in the production of molasses and highlighted the importance of avoiding counterfeit products.


Dündar expressed that grape cultivation is a labor-intensive task, stating, "Growing grapes is quite a demanding job. However, there is no blessing without effort. I started this as a hobby. Last year, the yield was low, but this year, we have more grapes. In the coming years, it will increase even further. This year, due to the weather conditions, I had to irrigate more. Our region did not receive much rainfall in the winter. I irrigated for about 3-4 hours using a drip system every ten days."
