The 'Seljuk Sultans Miniature Exhibition' was opened by
Konya Necmettin Erbakan University's Center for Traditional Arts Practice and
Research, as a tribute to art and artists in the 100th year of the Republic of
Turkey.
The 'Seljuk Sultans Miniature Exhibition' was presented to
art enthusiasts by Konya Necmettin Erbakan University's Center for Traditional
Arts Practice and Research, in honor of the art and artists in the 100th year
of the Republic of Turkey.
The exhibition, inaugurated by Omer Faruk Belviranlı, the
General Director of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Baysal, the Director of NEÜ Center for Traditional
Arts Practice and Research, drew a large number of art enthusiasts at the
Ankara Nuri Pakdil Literature Museum Library.
In the exhibition, which features architectural, political,
and military events from the periods of Seljuk sultans depicted through
miniature art, created with great effort by Dr. Ayşe Zehra Sayın, Assistant
Professor at the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, and Rıdvan Ak,
Instructor, Doç. Dr. Baysal, speaking at the exhibition, expressed their desire
to commemorate the Seljuk sultans who made Anatolia our homeland and who
sacrificed their lives on these lands approximately a thousand years ago. He
stated that they organized this exhibition to remind people of the traces of
civilization they had established. The exhibition is a result of the hard work
of Dr. Ayşe Zehra Sayın, Assistant Professor at the Department of Fine Arts and
Architecture, Traditional Turkish Arts, and Instructor Rıdvan Ak.
