Konya Metropolitan Municipality has opened an exhibition of “Bird Houses” where the most elegant examples of Seljuk and Ottoman architecture are reflected in order to introduce birdhouses, which are our historical and cultural values, to young generations.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality brings together the "Bird Houses" exhibition with art lovers. Uğur İbrahim Altay, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, stated that “In the “Bird Houses” exhibition where the most elegant examples of Seljuk and Ottoman architecture are exhibited, the tradition of compassion and elegance of our ancestors has been successfully reflected to the present day. Birdhouse in 50 different models met with art lovers in the exhibition prepared with four different methods: stone, ceramic, wood and 3D modeling. Our exhibition, inspired by Seljuk and Ottoman architectures and reflecting architectural structures unique to Konya, includes 50 different models in different patterns and figures. We produced 2,500 samples with these 50 models. We will place them in different parts of our city. I invite all the citizens of Konya and especially our young people to see the exhibition we have opened at the Meram Tantavi Culture and Art Center.”
