Kafka’s “The Trial” returns to the labyrinths of modern life again

British author Tom Basden’s darkly humorous adaptation of “Joseph K.” meets theater lovers on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 21:00 at Anadolu Stage.

While Joseph K is about to celebrate his 30th birthday with the pizza he ordered for home, the two men who delivered his pizza inform him that he is under arrest. Joseph K has no knowledge of what his crime is, but he has to clear himself. As Joseph attempts to regain his threatened freedom, he enters into a battle with an invisible and irrational justice system.

In the darkly humorous adaptation of British author Tom Basden’s, Joseph K. Franz Kafka’s case, which has not expired despite being over a century old, is left in the labyrinths of the modern world to be retried.
