Konya Ereğli Museum

The Ereğli Museum is an archaeological and ethnographic museum located in the Ereğli district of Konya.

Founded in 1967 as a branch of the Konya Archaeological Museum, it became an independent entity in 1978 when it moved to a new building. The museum was reorganized in 2005 to enhance its facilities.

The museum features two expansive exhibition halls, storage areas for antiquities, and marble rooms. Its display of archaeological artifacts spans several historical periods, including the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Hittite, Phrygian, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras. Additionally, the museum showcases mammoth skeletal remains discovered in the region's sand quarries.
