The "Heritage Written with Art" themed Traditional Turkish Islamic Arts Exhibition, organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Training Courses, has been opened.
At the opening of the exhibition hosted by Tantavi Culture and Art Center, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Ahmet Murat Koru said, "Hopefully, our KOMEK courses will continue to be an example to our country both in terms of vocational training and preserving our traditional arts. I would like to thank all our students, instructors, and everyone who contributed to making this exhibition possible."
It showcases a total of 223 pieces created by Vocational Training Courses students trained in traditional arts such as calligraphy, illumination (tezhip), tile art, miniature painting, and marbling (ebru). The works on display reflect the efforts of 673 students studying in 33 different groups across 10 course centers in Konya.
Through Traditional Arts training, students have the opportunity to develop their skills and, once they reach a certain level, specialize within the Turkish Islamic Arts Academy (TİSA). In this context, the exhibition serves as an important example not only for art enthusiasts but also for those interested in education.
