Konya Theater Stages The Play That Goes Wrong

Konya City Theater is welcoming audiences this season with a comedy that promises plenty of laughter. Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, translated into Turkish by Mehmet Ergen, and directed by Mustafa Uzman, The Play That Goes Wrong will be staged.

The play begins with the familiar “whodunit” story of a murder in a mansion, where a detective arrives to uncover the culprit. However, things take an unexpected turn when an unlucky amateur theater troupe attempts to stage the production. A series of mishaps and accidents cause the entire performance to go off track, turning the show into a hilarious spectacle as the cast struggles to make it to the end.

The production features a large ensemble cast, including Burak Öztürk, Serkan Bilgili, Fatih Dinçer, Zeynep Çimenciler, Duygu Şen, Erkan Erkoç, Raşit Koçer, Şenol Birinci, Seyfullah Gönen, Bahaddin Çiçek, and Ekrem Tünge Denizmen. Set design is by Tayfun Çebi, and costumes are designed by Aslıhan Fakı.
