Konya’s Cultural Centers Draw Crowds

The museums brought to the city by Konya Metropolitan Municipality were among the most popular spots for visitors during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay expressed his satisfaction with the continued strong interest in the centers they have brought to the city, which showcase Konya’s deep-rooted history and cultural heritage.

Emphasizing that Konya is almost like an open-air museum with its thousands of years of history and rich cultural texture, Mayor Altay stated, "The valuable facilities we have implemented to promote the history and cultural values of our city continue to attract great interest from both the citizens of Konya and foreign visitors. As in every holiday, the increased visitor numbers in our museums during this Eid al-Fitr holiday once again highlighted the importance of the efforts we have made. I would like to thank all the guests who visited our museums."
