The Sille Museum, brought to Sille by the Selcuklu Municipality, takes visitors on a historical and cultural journey.
One of the oldest settlements in Konya, Sille has hosted thousands of civilizations throughout history and is an important destination visited by thousands of local and foreign tourists every year.
Once serving as a school and a municipality building, the Sille Museum, which was transformed into a museum after its restoration was completed by the Selçuklu Municipality, has been welcoming visitors to a journey through history and a glorious heritage since 2017.
The museum's collection includes archaeological artifacts, ethnographic objects, and works of art that shed light on Sille's past. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and traditions of the region in the museum.
The museum, which covers an area of 750 square meters, consists of two floors. On the ground floor, the Kisve-i Şerif (the inner covering of the Kaaba), an important historical artifact from Sille, manuscripts from the Sille Madrasa, and models of significant structures in Sille are displayed. The upper floor features pottery and carpets from Sille dating from the 18th to the 20th centuries, along with exhibits related to clothing, kitchen, and bath culture. You can also see Konya's first patented product, rubber sandals made from truck tires, at the Sille Museum.
The Sille Museum is open for visits six days a week, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except on Mondays. The museum also offers free professional guided tours for visitors.
