Domestic Production Machines compete with European ones

Domestic Production Machines compete with European ones

Komel Agricultural Machinery produced silage packing machines for the first time in Turkey in 2008 and in the last 11 years they have started to compete with European machines in quality.
In 2008, Komel Agricultural Machinery started to produce silage packing machines in Turkey for the first time and they have started to compete with European ones in quality in the last 11 years. Expressing that thanks to the domestic production they were able to get ahead of imported products, Bilal Koman also said that “we are exporting to 33 countries at the moment and contributing to the national economy. Except the automation part, every part of our products is local”. Komel Agricultural Machinery started to take its place in the sector in 1985 with the production of flour plant machinery. In time, they exported products to 13 countries. After serving in this sector for many years, they realized the deficiency in producing silage, roller and bale machines. For two years they conducted R&D activities and started domestic production and sell in 2008 under the brand of KOMEL TARIM. Silage packing machines have never been produced domestically until 2008. Bilal Koman, Komel Agricultural Machinery General Manager, stated that “silage packing machines were imported then, and we got ahead of those imported products. Today, we sell these machines to 33 countries and contribute to our economy. We have the capacity to produce 100 machines in a year. Except the automation part, every part of our products is local. We produce each part of the machines in our own factories. However, as the automation part cannot be produced in Turkey, we have to import that part.”
