In Beyşehir district of Konya, there are currently 31
factories in the Organized Industrial Zone. Construction of 23 additional
factories is also ongoing, providing employment opportunities for a significant
number of people. Efforts to accelerate the development of the second phase of
the Organized Industrial Zone are also underway in the region.
The second phase of the Organized Industrial Zone in
Beyşehir district of Konya is currently under construction. Beyşehir District
Governor and Chairman of the Organized Industrial Zone Management Board, Mehmet
Kemal Akpınar, stated during a meeting held at the Beyşehir Teacher's House
that the 2nd phase OSB, which is planned to be established adjacent to the 1st
OSB located in Bayavşar Neighborhood, is attracting significant investor
interest.
Akpınar emphasized that all parcels in the Beyşehir
Organized Industrial Zone, where 31 factories are currently operational and
construction of 23 additional factories is ongoing, have been allocated to
investors. He also pointed out that after the parcels in the first phase were
filled, efforts to develop the second phase of the industrial zone are
continuing at full speed.
Akpınar stated that the site selection process for the
second phase, which is being developed on a 75-hectare area adjacent to the
Beyşehir Organized Industrial Zone, has been completed and expropriation works
have started. They aim to complete the infrastructure works of the second phase
organized industrial zone by October 2024, and then begin accepting
applications for land requests.
It was reported that upon the completion of the works,
hundreds of new job opportunities will be provided to people.
