Karatay Municipality has taken another significant step in renewable energy production with the initiation of the installation of its 5th Solar Power Plant in Ismil Neighborhood, consisting of 13,440 panels with a capacity of 6 MW.
Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, emphasizing their goal to develop Karatay through sustainable projects, stated, "With our 160-million investment in the 5th Solar Power Plant, we will add strength to the future of our district."
The project, which will be implemented on an area of 105,000 square meters, will contribute to the regional economy with a total investment of 160 million Turkish lira. The plant will feature 13,440 solar panels and will have a total electricity production capacity of 6 MW. Once completed, it is expected to generate approximately 50 million Turkish lira in energy annually. This will allow Karatay Municipality to achieve significant financial savings while also contributing to the economy. Additionally, with this project, Karatay Municipality will take another important step in meeting its own energy needs.
With the solar power plant investment, Karatay Municipality aims to make a significant contribution to energy production. The project focuses on reducing carbon emissions while promoting an environmentally friendly approach through clean energy production. This investment will set an example for sustainable energy policies and ensure a more livable environment for future generations.
