The Konya Branch management of ASKON organized a business
trip to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with a delegation of 35
businessmen. During the trip, they had meetings with the country's officials
and businessmen, emphasizing investment in Cyprus.
The Konya Branch of ASKON organized a business trip to
Northern Cyprus with a delegation of 35 people.
The delegation, led by Atilla Sinacı, the President of the
Konya Branch of ASKON, was welcomed by Orhan Gavani, the President of KKTC GİAD
(Turkish Cypriot Businessmen Association), and Kemal Üresin, the representative
of ASKON in TRNC. As part of the program, they visited the President of TRNC,
Ersin Tatar, the Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, and the
Turkish Ambassador to TRNC, Metin Feyzioğlu.
In addition to protocol visits, bilateral business meetings
were also held with Cypriot businessmen during the three-day program.
Ambassador Metin Feyzioğlu expressed his satisfaction with
the visit of such an important delegation to TRNC and emphasized that there is
a vibrant trade in Cyprus. He highlighted the need for extensive cooperation
and investments by Turkish businessmen in the region.
Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, also
expressed their desire to benefit from the commercial and production capacity
of Konya, highlighting that ASKON would serve as an important bridge in this
regard. Minister Amcaoğlu invited the business delegation to invest in Cyprus.
During the visit, the delegation also met with the President
of TRNC, Ersin Tatar, who provided them with information. Tatar emphasized his
familiarity with Konya and expressed his honor in hosting the delegation,
stating, "Cyprus is very important for Turkey, and you are also very
important to us. We aim to strengthen the trade here, and we greatly need your
support. By coming here, you have witnessed the potential. We are open to all
kinds of investments and doors are open for you."
