Konya Becomes one of the Provinces that Support Turkey's Automotive Exports

The automotive industry realized foreign sales of 30 billion 995 million 808 thousand dollars in 2022. Konya exported more than 100 million dollars of automotives.

The automotive industry, which closed 2021 with 29 billion 334 million 554 thousand dollars of exports, realized foreign sales of 30 billion 995 million 808 thousand dollars with an increase of 5.7 percent in 2022. The automotive sector ranked second after "chemical substances and products", which ranked first in Turkey's exports with 33 billion 524 million 626 thousand dollars.

With its performance last year, the automotive industry reached the second highest export figure in its history after 31 billion 568 million 469 thousand dollars of foreign sales in 2018. In the automotive sector, Kocaeli, Istanbul, Bursa, Sakarya and Ankara completed the year with export figures exceeding billion dollars.

The total automotive export sales of Kocaeli, Istanbul, Bursa, Sakarya and Ankara, which meet 86.45 percent of Turkey's automotive exports, were recorded as 26 billion 796 million 623 thousand dollars.

KONYA'S RECORD 100 MILLION DOLLARS

 Last year's foreign sales from Ankara, which ranks 5th in automotive exports, increased by 4.4 percent compared to 2021. The exports of the Capital, which was 1 billion 165 million 586 thousand dollars in 2021, increased to 1 billion 216 million 468 thousand dollars last year. Adana, Aydın, Çankırı, Hatay, İzmir, Kırşehir, Konya, Manisa and Samsun exported more than 100 million dollars of automobiles.
