Konya Expands Renewable Energy with New Solar Project

Konya continues to lead in establishing the largest renewable energy plants in Europe. After the Karapınar Solar Power Plant, a solar energy project will also be developed in the neighborhood closest to the center of Konya.

In this context, the SMO Selçuklu Solar Power Plant project will be developed on a 15-hectare area within the boundaries of Çandır Neighborhood, 42844 Block, Parcel 1, in the Selçuklu District.

SMO Electricity Generation Limited Company plans to develop and operate the "SMO Selçuklu Solar Power Plant and Energy Storage Facility" project. In accordance with Article 9 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulation, a "Public Information and Participation Meeting" will be held to inform the public about the project and gather their views and suggestions.
