Konya hosted the Export Development Anatolian Meetings Program.
The Export Development Anatolian Meetings Program, organized at the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) Konya Branch, hosted guests including Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, the General Director of Export; Kasım Akdeniz, the General Director of IGE; Efkan Bingöl, the Marketing Director of Eximbank; Safa Bolat, the Regulatory Compliance Manager of Eximbank; Abdullah Bozatlı, the Chairman of the Export Development Committee at MÜSİAD Headquarters, and members of MÜSİAD Konya Branch.
A. Fatih Özboyacı, a Board Member of MÜSİAD Konya Branch, emphasized Konya's role as a production hub with its industry, stating, "Konya serves as a locomotive for other cities in both Turkey and the Central Anatolia Region, functioning as a hub for agriculture, trade, industry, and tourism with significant contributions to the national economy. Prominent sectors in our city include machinery manufacturing, automotive sub-industry, vehicle superstructures, agricultural machinery, defense industry, plastics, food, footwear, and furniture. To provide more details, Konya has the capacity to meet 30% of the needs of automotive companies in Turkey. We can produce 70% of vehicle superstructures and cover the entire demand for agricultural machinery."
Abdullah Bozatlı, the Chairman of the Export Development Committee at MÜSİAD Headquarters, stated, "Our first task in the new period as the export development commission is the Anatolian Meetings. Our first stop was Sakarya last month. Today, we are holding the second one in Konya. We will have the opportunity to benefit from very important topics and distinguished guests. Konya is progressing confidently on its path as the locomotive of agriculture and industry."
