Konya is enhancing Turkey’s Machinery

Hasan Büyükdede, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, expressed that as a person has grown up in Konya, he is really pleased to observe the point where industry in Konya has reached. While saying the machinery sector in the city is going through a huge alteration, he also stated that “our people in machinery sector in Konya are going through a serious structuring process at a middle-high quality level. The city has become hard-to-compete with its tempo in prices, speed and globalisation. They have made other people in the sector in Turkey think that how Konya is producing this product at this price. The machinery sector in Konya is living an interesting process in terms of production rate and technique and I think it is a good thing.”   
Büyükdede pointed that the industrialists in Konya are lucky to reach industrial zones and they are also working in order to create new industrial zones. He said that “the businesses in small industrial areas are becoming larger industrial businesses today. They are competing at enlarging their areas. In Konya there is a formation that invests here and uses the automatization well. Besides, Aselsan Konya Weapon Systems Factory has created a new atmosphere in the city. I hope, this place will bring in Konya a new place in aircraft industry, aerospace industry and weapon industry.”
