The Cumra Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, built by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, has been inaugurated.
Çumra Mayor Mehmet Aydın said, “I would like to express my gratitude to our Konya Metropolitan Mayor, İbrahim Uğur Bey, for the construction of the Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant. Thanks to our Metropolitan Mayor, we have fulfilled one of Çumra’s greatest needs.”
Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that the newly inaugurated Çumra Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant is one of the most significant steps toward a healthy future, a clean environment, and a sustainable city vision. He said, “Our facility, implemented under the coordination of İLBANK, has been designed to treat domestic wastewater coming from Çumra district center, İçeri Çumra, Alibeyhüyüğü, and Okçu neighborhoods. Equipped with modern technology and environmentally friendly systems, the facility is projected to serve a population of 71,700 until the year 2043. With a daily treatment capacity of 9,895 cubic meters, the facility represents a major investment valued at 510 million liras.”
Mayor Altay said, “Since the day we took office, we have invested 2.5 billion liras in Çumra at current value. Hopefully, our services will continue without interruption from now on.”
