Konya's Exports Increased by 11.1 in the First Quarter

Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) President Selçuk Öztürk and Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO) President Memiş Kütükcü discussed the figures. Öztürk, in his written statement, said that Konya's exports on a provincial basis increased by 2.49 percent compared to the same month of 2021. Noting that Konya exported 288.81.957 dollars in March, Öztürk said that “Our export figure for the first three months of 2022 increased by 11.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 770 million 648 thousand 776 dollars. Konya's exports in the last 12 months amounted to 3 billion dollars. Our export keeps increasing in 2022. Konya reached the highest export figure in its history in this March. I congratulate all our traders, industrialists and exporters who contributed to this success.”

Export record in the first quarter

Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO) Chairman Memiş Kütükcü congratulated all exporting companies and their employees who increased Konya's exports. He also stated that “Konya broke the export record of all time on a quarterly basis. In the first quarter of this year, the machinery and accessories sector, which has held the lead for a long time, again ranks the first in our exports, followed by the automotive industry in the second place, and the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector in the third place. Our city continues to increase its exports in the industrial sector despite all the difficulties. Konya exported to 176 countries in the first 3 months of the year. I sincerely congratulate all our exporters and their employees.
