Konya Sugar Sells Products to International Fastfood Chains

Erman Gümüş, the Director of Seydibey Agricultural Products Processing Integrated Plant, stated that “we are a factory which supplies products to many international fastfood chains and supermarkets with the brand Pratiko”.

Erman Gümüş, the Director of Seydibey Agricultural Products Processing Integrated Plant, an institution of Konya Sugar, expressed that with their brand Pratiko, they are a supplier of products to many international fastfood chains and supermarkets.

Seydibey Agricultural Products Integrated Plant produces frozen potatoes, onion rings and tater tots and its storehouses and production areas are introduced to the press.

In his statement, Gümüş, said that more than 100 thousand tons of potatoes have been produced in Konya with the investment of integrated plant.

While stating that Konya is in the second place in the agriculture of potatoes in Turkey, Gümüş said that:

“Seydibey, has rapidly become the leader of the sector in 2 years since its entrance to the sector in 2008. Today, it is leading the sector with its 25% market share. We are a factory which supplies products to many international fastfood chains and supermarkets with the brand Pratiko. In 2013, Seydibey increased its capacity by 125% and became the first in the sector by establishing the first frozen potatoes line in Turkey. In 2018, onion rings and tater tots lines were increased by 150%. This line has a production capacity of 5 thousand tons and it supplies products to the international fastfood chains and supermarkets. In this area, it is the leader in Turkey.”

Gümüş also expressed that 80 thousand tons solid waste processed in the plant have been transformed into 10 million cubic meters gas and 19-million-kilowatt hour electricity and this electricity is enough to meet the needs of lightening of Seydişehir and Beyşehir districts yearly.
