Konya's Defense Industry Achievements Highlighted by KSO President

Konya Industrial Chamber (KSO) President Mustafa Büyükeğen, stating that Konya has achieved significant successes in the defense industry, emphasized that Turkey is among the top four cities in defense industry exports.

Mustafa Büyükeğen, President of the Konya Industrial Chamber (KSO), visited Turkey's largest defense industry companies, Roketsan, Havelsan, Aselsan, and Tusaş, to provide information about the defense industry sector in Konya. Büyükeğen also invited these giants of the defense industry to the 7th Konya Defense Industry Supplier Meetings, which will be organized by the Konya Industrial Chamber on November 23-25 under the auspices of the Presidency of Defense Industries.

President Büyükeğen emphasized that Konya, which excels in various sectors, has also achieved significant success in the defense industry during these visits. He underscored that Konya ranks among Turkey's top four major cities in defense industry exports. Büyükeğen stated, "In the Defense and Aerospace Industry, Konya is the 4th largest exporter in Turkey, following Istanbul, Ankara, and Eskişehir. We have an annual export exceeding $135 million in this sector."

President Büyükeğen stated that they are actively working to further develop the defense industry in Konya. He reminded that the Konya Defense Industry Supplier Meetings, the largest defense industry gathering in Anatolia, is one of the initiatives aimed at achieving this goal.
