Konya's defense industry exports increased 144 percent

In the 11th month of 2020, the exports of Konya in the field of defense industry increased by 144 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and it exceeded 120 million dollars. 

Konya exports were observed to increase over the average of Turkey in recent years. Konya's $ 700 million export increased over $ 2 billion in the last 10 years. Konya increased its exports by %6 in the first 11 months of this year. At the end of the year, it is expected to be a city that can increase its exports despite all the difficult conditions. Konya will reach  2.2 billion dollars of export. Defense industry draws attention as being one of the prominent sectors in exports. 

EXPORT IN THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY INCREASED TO OVER 120 MILLION DOLLARS FROM 51 MILLION DOLLARS 

Comparing the last year and the 11 months of 2020; defense industry exports increased from 51 million dollars to 120 million dollars. This means an export increase of %144 as of the first 11 months. Now, Konya has become one of the most important cities in Turkey's defense industry export case.

KONYA DRAWS THE ATTENTION WITH ITS AUTOMOTIVE SPARE PARTS EXPORT

When it comes to exports in Konya, food and agricultural products come to mind first, but automotive spare parts constitute the 1st or 2nd item which Konya exports the most in the last 10 years. Machinery and automotive spare parts exports are very close to each other. Much more exports took place in the 11-month period of 2020 compared to last year. There is a %22 increase in automotive spare parts exports compared to last year.
