Konya’s Economy Shows Strong Growth

Konya’s economy continues to gain momentum with new investments, trade-focused projects, and expanding industrial initiatives shaping the city’s growth outlook.

A major step in this direction comes from the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, which is preparing to launch the tender process for a new trade center on August 26, 2025. With an investment value of 1.75 billion TL, the project is expected to significantly enhance Konya’s commercial infrastructure and strengthen its position as a regional trade hub.

Efforts to connect agriculture with education are also drawing attention. Through a protocol signed by the Konya Governorship, the Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Konya Sugar Beet Growers’ Cooperative, young people are being encouraged to take an active role in agricultural production. The program focuses on practical training alongside scholarships and internship opportunities, aiming to build a skilled and motivated new generation for the sector.

Industrial investment remains another driving force behind the city’s economic vitality. Meydan Group is in the process of establishing a new factory in the Çumra Organized Industrial Zone. Spanning 50,000 square meters, the facility is expected to contribute to regional employment and industrial capacity once completed.

At the same time, the Konya branch of the Anatolian Lions Businessmen’s Association continues its work to support small and medium-sized enterprises. Through various programs, the association aims to strengthen corporate structures while helping businesses expand their production, investment, and export capabilities, reinforcing Konya’s role in the national economy.
