Konya's Role in the Turkish Economy

A meeting on "Konya's Role in the Turkish Economy" was organized by the Konya Young Entrepreneurs Association.

A meeting on the topic of 'Konya's Role in the Turkish Economy' was organized by the Konya Young Entrepreneurs Association, with the participation of Konya Chamber of Commerce President and Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Selçuk Öztürk.

Öztürk stated, “Konya is a city that makes significant contributions to the Turkish economy in every field, from agriculture to industry, from trade to tourism. Our province is among the top in Turkey for agricultural production. The agricultural products produced in Konya are in high demand both in the domestic and export markets. Konya also holds an important place in our country’s industrial sector, with companies in automotive sub-industries, machinery manufacturing, and the food industry playing leading roles. Businesspeople in Konya continuously develop their investments and create new job opportunities. Konya is one of the locomotive forces of the Turkish economy. I believe that Konya will continue to contribute even more to the Turkish economy in the coming years.”

Öztürk emphasized that young entrepreneurs are very important for the future of the Turkish economy and stated that KONYAGIAD plays a significant role in this regard by supporting young entrepreneurs.

Mr. Gülvezir Korkmaz, Chairman of the Board of the Konya Young Entrepreneurs Association, emphasized in his statement that Konya is one of Turkey's leading cities in agriculture, industry, and trade.

Korkmaz stated that the productivity, entrepreneurship, and innovation of Konya’s businesspeople will continue to contribute to the Turkish economy and expressed his belief that Konya will become an even more significant economic force in the coming years.
