Konya's industry continues to contribute to Turkey's production sector. The city's exports have exceeded 3.5 billion dollars.
AK Party Konya Member of Parliament and Deputy Chairman Ziya Altunyaldız, along with Konya Chamber of Industry President Mustafa Büyükeğen, visited Konya's Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat.
After the visit, Member of Parliament Altunyaldız made a statement, saying, "The Turkish economy, which reached a size of 1.2 trillion dollars by the end of the first half of 2024, breaking its record in this field, continues to grow through exports. As of October, our exports, the locomotive of our economy, have risen to 262.3 billion dollars. In the past year, with the stabilization of our foreign trade and a decrease in the trade deficit, we have added 35.1 billion dollars in additional financing sources to support the dynamics of our growth."
Ziya Altunyaldız said, "There is no doubt that Konya, as the center of production and exports, plays a significant role in our country's strong performance. As of October, our city has exceeded 3.5 billion dollars in annual exports, and with its production and export ecosystem, it continues to contribute to Turkey's Century journey. I would like to thank our esteemed Minister for his valuable services and kind hospitality, especially to our exporters, whom President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has referred to as trade pioneers."
