Konya’s Traditional Flavors Featured at Pelen

Uğur Ibrahim Altay, the Mayor of Konya, inspected the Pelen Local Products Sales Center, which was put into service by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

Mayor Altay noted that, along with local products, high-quality and valuable gift items are also sold at the Pelen Local Products Sales Center, located on the Ankara Road next to the Konya Science Center. He highlighted that cooperatives are also supported through the Pelen Local Products Sales Center.

Mayor Altay emphasized that there is a strong effort to develop women’s cooperatives in Konya during this period. He stated, "We believe that there will be good sales at Pelen after women in rural areas package the products they produce under hygienic conditions through the cooperative model. Therefore, while supporting cooperative products and women’s cooperatives, we also aim to promote Konya’s local brands through sales points like Pelen along the main roads."

In addition to local products, Pelen also sells high-quality and valuable gift items, and it includes women’s cooperatives to support cooperatives in general.

Palize-branded jams, tahini, and the traditional Konya dessert known as Hemp Halva, produced under Konbeltaş, are also available for sale at Pelen. Additionally, Fera Coffee, a business operated by Konbeltaş, provides services to customers within Pelen.
