The last assembly meeting of the 2018 – 2022 period was held
at Konya Chamber of Commerce. At the meeting moderated by Assembly Speaker
Ahmet Arıcı, KTO President Selçuk Öztürk made a presentation about the
contribution of Konya Chamber of Commerce to Konya's economic development since
2010.
Öztürk, who started his speech by thanking the Assembly,
said, "We will hold our Professional Committees elections on Saturday,
November 12, 2022 at our Konya Chamber of Commerce International Exhibition
Center. With our last Assembly meeting, we will finish a period in which we
have been working in unity and solidarity since April 2018 and start our work
for the new period. I would like to sincerely thank each of my friends who take
part in our Assembly, Professional Committees, Assembly Presidency Council,
Commissions and TOBB Delegation for their work for our Chamber, our city and
our country. While serving under this roof, with the awareness that we have
taken on the responsibility of the 25 thousand members of Konya Chamber of
Commerce, we have continued our way without sacrificing our unity and
solidarity in connection with each other with the law of brotherhood."
KTO President Selçuk Öztürk, who continued his speech with
the presentation on "Konya / Konya Chamber of Commerce Activities and
Subsidiaries with Macroeconomic Indicators", said, "In 2010 and
after, Konya; It has become a city that has made a positive contribution to the
country's economy by growing above the average of Turkey in many parameters
such as gross domestic product, exports, industrial employment. With our
subsidiaries established under the roof of our Chamber and the projects we
carry out, we are proud of the contribution we have made to the development of
Konya's economy since 2010. I would like to thank our nearly 25 thousand
members who share their sustenance with us in bringing these works to our city
and country. All the subsidiaries in which the name of Konya Chamber of Commerce
is written are the work of our Assembly and Professional Committees Members.
Our Board Members also worked day and night. They stood at the beginning of the
work to ensure that our subsidiaries were put into service as quickly as
possible. I would also like to thank them. For the first time in Turkey, we
will carry forward the distance we have taken in our goal of becoming an
institution that has its own economy, produces its own technology and ideas,
and creates its own human power with a system we have created specific to our
Chamber."
