Karatay Municipality is taking another significant step in renewable electricity generation with the upcoming construction of the fifth solar energy power plant (SES) project in Ismil Neighborhood.
Work is starting for the fifth solar energy power plant project to be implemented in Ismil Neighborhood. The project, which will be carried out on an area of 105,000 square meters, will be completed with a total investment of 160 million Turkish Liras. The plant will feature 13,440 solar panels, and once completed, it will have a total electricity production capacity of 6 MW.
The solar energy power plant project is of great importance not only for environmental sustainability but also for the economic development of Karatay. The plant will produce energy worth approximately 50 million Turkish Liras annually, making a significant contribution to both the municipality and the local economy.
Local and national panels have been preferred in the project, contributing to the economy at this point. Additionally, with this project, Karatay Municipality will take another significant step in meeting its own energy needs.
