“Reasons to Live in Village Project” Grows

Ferhat Pişmaf, head of Agricultural Marketing Group in Ziraat Bank, stated that “The project aims to contribute to the efforts to increase the number of sheep and goats in our country to more than 80 million heads and to make use of the small cattle breeding potential of each province in itself and to keep the economic value to be created in that province. In ‘Reasons to Live in Village Project’ which Ziraat Bank started to increase the number of ovine breeding and develop the quality in animal farms, the number of sheep bought by credit reached to 120 thousands.” 
According to the Ziraat Bank’s statement, by signing a protocol, 32 governorships have joined the project which was brought to life in September 2020. Loans started to be provided in 14 provinces that have completed their preparations.

In the statement, Ferhat Pişmaf, head of Agricultural Marketing Group in Ziraat Bank, said that “The number of governorships participating in the project reached 32 by signing a protocol today. The producers started to receive their sheep by using credit in 14 provinces where our governors have completed the necessary preparations such as determining potential producers, selecting animals, determining companies to buy feed and to sell meat. The number of sheep delivered to approximately 1,250 producers within the scope of the project reached 120 thousand in a short time.”
