Selcuklu Secondhand Market, one of the exemplary zero-waste initiatives by Selcuklu Municipality, also attracted significant interest from citizens on the first Sunday of November.
The Selcuklu Secondhand Market, one of the key zero-waste initiatives by Selcuklu Municipality, was held for the 12th time at the Yazır Covered Market, welcoming citizens once again.
Through this project aimed at reducing environmental pollution and excessive consumption, citizens are also able to support their household budgets. The market offers a wide range of items at affordable prices, from cup sets and plates to clothes and bags, as well as old books, toys, small electronics, and radios.
Selcuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı stated, “The Selcuklu Secondhand Market, which we launched about a year ago, continues to be held on the first Sunday of every month at the Yazır Covered Market area. Our project, which aims to prevent waste, promote conscious use of resources, and raise awareness about zero waste, continues to receive great interest. Through this initiative, which promotes the reuse of secondhand items within a zero-waste framework, we are setting an example for Turkey.”
