Over 100 industrial establishments benefiting from Konya
Model Factory have gained a competitive edge by increasing productivity in
their manufacturing processes.
Selçuk Öztürk, the President of Konya Chamber of Commerce,
evaluated the contributions of the Model Factory to the industry. He
highlighted that the Konya Model Factory was established with the support and
financing of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP), under the project led by Konya Chamber of
Commerce in collaboration with Konya Chamber of Industry and Organized
Industrial Zone Directorate.
Reminding that the Konya Model Factory was brought to the city
with an investment of 12 million Turkish Liras, Öztürk explained that the
“learn-transform” model is implemented here. Project leaders receive training
and apply their learning to increase productivity in their companies, covering
various practical training programs.
The Chairman mentioned that the “Konya Model Factory has
been in operation since September 2020 and is one of the eight model factories
in Turkey, aiming to enhance productivity in the country. Within KTO Technology
and Education Campus, Konya Model Factory has been providing ‘learn-transform
programs,’ training, consultancy, and technological advisory services to
numerous companies. Many companies are currently participating in the active
program. The results show that companies have achieved productivity increases
ranging from 50% to 120%, demonstrating the project’s effectiveness and
significant contributions to improving the efficiency of Anatolian industries.
