"We are the 2nd Largest OIZ in the Country"

Memiş Kütükcü, who has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Konya Organized Industrial Zone (KOS) since 2013, handed over his duty to Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO) President Mustafa Büyükeğen. Memiş Kütükcü made a presentation evaluating his 12-year tenure and underlined that they invested 12 billion liras in the region in 12 years.

Kütükçü said, “During our term of office, we opened our 4th, 5th and 6th expansion areas to investment and increased our Konya OIZ from 12 million square meters to 31 million square meters. Thus, our OIZ became the second largest organized industrial zone in Turkey. "In addition, the number of factories in the region, which was 444 when we took office, reached 757, and our employment, which was 35 thousand, reached 65 thousand," he said.
