The opening of the CAD (Computer-Aided Design) CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) Laboratory at Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry was carried out with the participation of the Rector, Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.
Prof. Dr. Isa Yöndem, the Head of the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry, provided information about the laboratory equipment, stating that prostheses used in dental treatment can be designed and manufactured with computer-aided support through CAD-CAM devices.
Selçuk University Rector, Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, emphasized the significant convenience provided by CAD-CAM technology, stating, "Thanks to these systems, scans and transfers made at the application point can be viewed digitally, enabling the ease of patient treatment. This reduces the margin of error in the procedure, ensuring both the quality of the treatment and time savings. Moreover, most importantly, it prevents patient dissatisfaction. I wish our laboratory to be auspicious and successful."
Following the opening of the CAD-CAM Laboratory, Rector Prof. Dr. Aksoy inspected the devices that were utilized.
