With the opening of the first center among public hospitals
in Konya, patients will no longer need to travel to other cities for bone
marrow transplants.
Konya City Hospital, which has been continuously achieving
firsts in the field of healthcare since its opening, has added another
specialized treatment service. The 'Bone Marrow Transplant Center,' whose
licensing procedures have been approved by the Ministry of Health, has started
providing services within the hospital.
Professor Dr. Koç, emphasizing the successful implementation
of advanced treatment procedures at Konya City Hospital, expressed gratitude to
everyone involved in the opening of the Bone Marrow Transplant Center, stating,
"The Bone Marrow Transplant Center will eliminate an important deficiency
for both our city and the region, and it will provide healing to hundreds of
patients every year."
Feride Başişçi, a 48-year-old patient diagnosed with
multiple myeloma, who was placed under treatment at the Bone Marrow Transplant
Center of Konya City Hospital, expressed gratitude to all the doctors and staff
who provided support during this process. She wished that the center would
bring healing to all patients waiting for treatment.
During the visit to the Bone Marrow Transplant Center,
Provincial Health Director Prof. Dr. Koç was accompanied by Deputy Chief of
Public Hospitals Services, Specialist Dr. Mustafa Parlayıcı, Hospital Chief
Physician Dr. Assistant Professor Oğuzhan Günenc, along with other hospital
administrators.
