Health Center Set to Be an Example for Turkey Rising in Konya

Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı inspected the Community Mental Health Center and Healthy Life Center, which will be brought to Konya by the Selçuklu Municipality.


Selçuklu Municipality is preparing to add another investment in the health sector.


In collaboration with the Konya Provincial Health Directorate and the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, the Selçuklu Municipality is nearing completion of the Community Mental Health Center and Healthy Life Center in Yazır Neighborhood. This center will enable citizens to access health services in more modern and comfortable spaces. Additionally, the facility will meet its own electricity needs through the 80 kW solar energy panels located on its roof.


Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı inspected the center and received updates from officials about the current status of the work. Mayor Pekyatırmacı stated that the Community Mental Health Center and Healthy Life Center will be exemplary for Turkey.


The Community Mental Health Center and Healthy Life Center will cover a total area of 4,699 square meters. The Community Mental Health Center will include a gym, four observation and treatment rooms, a psychologist's office, a team room, a social interview room, a library, nine workshops, a multipurpose hall, and a doctor's office.


The Healthy Life Center will feature a multipurpose hall, an X-ray room, a blood collection room, a mammography room, a laboratory, two reproductive health and examination rooms, a KETEM room, a reproductive health and KETEM consultation room, an ultrasound room, a pregnancy class, an emergency intervention room, a physical activity coach, two smoking cessation rooms, three physical activity areas with physiotherapists, a pedagogue, two dietitians, an oral and dental health room, an occupational therapist, two psychologists, two social service rooms, two child development rooms, and a patient education room to serve the public.
