Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has been accredited by the European Committee of Veterinary Education of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education.
Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, having successfully met the highly stringent criteria for veterinary education set by the European Union, has added another achievement to its record by becoming accredited.
Commenting on the accreditation process, the Dean of Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Haliloğlu, said, "ECOVE updates its accreditation criteria approximately every two years, and the requirements for accreditation become more challenging with each new version. Our faculty applied for accreditation based on the latest version set by ECOVE. From May 6-10, 2024, a team of 9 experts, including 7 academicians from various European countries, 1 practitioner, and 1 student, visited for the evaluation. As a result of the evaluation visit, which was based on nearly 100 sub-standards, our faculty was granted accreditation by the ECOVE decision dated May 29, 2024."
Prof. Dr. Haliloğlu said, "We are the first faculty in Turkey to be accredited according to the 2023 criteria, and we are also proud to be among the top 5 veterinary faculties in Europe."
The Accreditation Certificate was presented to Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Haliloğlu, Dean of Selcuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, during a ceremony at the EAEVE General Assembly held in Paris.
