Konya has made significant investments in strengthening its healthcare infrastructure in recent years, aiming to provide its citizens with higher-quality services.
Konya has a total of 45 hospitals with 8,787 beds, 2,247 specialist doctors, 1,450 general practitioners, and 7,503 nurses. Meram Faculty of Medicine at Necmettin Erbakan University, Faculty of Medicine at Selçuk University, and Faculty of Medicine at KTO Karatay University provide education and healthcare services in the field of medicine.
In Beyşehir district, a health campus is planned, including a 20-unit Oral and Dental Health Center, a 9-doctor Family Health Center, a Community Health Center, a Health Services Center, a Mental Health Center, and an Emergency Medical Services Center. This project, which will be tendered on March 14, 2025, aims to strengthen the district’s healthcare infrastructure.
In Hüyük district, three health centers will be merged under one roof to provide more efficient services, aiming to improve the quality of primary healthcare services.
In Karatay district, new Family Health Centers and Emergency Medical Service Stations are being built with the goal of having one health facility in every neighborhood. These projects are designed to make healthcare services more accessible.
Selçuklu district continues to invest in its healthcare sector, with new health facilities and services enhancing the district’s healthcare infrastructure.
Home healthcare services are a significant part of Konya's healthcare system. Services such as patient care, serum administration, dressing changes, injections, suturing, ear cleaning, pregnancy tests, ear piercings, and blood sugar measurement are offered through healthcare cabins. These services provide significant convenience, especially for elderly individuals and those with mobility limitations.
In 2023, Konya ranked 15th in Turkey with a fixed investment amount of 31 billion TL. A portion of these investments has been directed towards the healthcare sector to improve the quality of healthcare services.
