Konya Metropolitan and ASELSAN's Exemplary Partnership

Konya Metropolitan Municipality and ASELSAN have completed a program to procure and introduce their jointly developed, domestically produced Automatic Defibrillator Device.

Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Mustafa Uzbaş, who attended the program, stated that they have collaborated with ASELSAN on various issues, one of which is the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) device.

Uzbaş noted that the device produced will make an impact both in Turkey and globally, stating, "Human health is important to us. This device developed by ASELSAN will save lives when needed. We thank those who contributed."

As part of the project implemented for the first time by Konya Metropolitan Municipality among local governments, domestic AED devices that enable resuscitation of patients through electroshock during sudden cardiac arrests will be placed in pilot areas with high concentrations of Metropolitan employees and citizens. Thanks to the accessibility of the AED devices, first aid can be administered to the patient until the 112 Emergency Response teams arrive.
