Necmettin Erbakan University Strengthens Microsurgery Training Capacity

Necmettin Erbakan University continues to contribute to medical education through its specialized microsurgery laboratory, one of the few facilities of its kind in Türkiye.

The university is also organizing the 29th Basic Microsurgery Training Program at the Experimental Medicine Application and Research Center (KONÜDAM), bringing together healthcare professionals from different institutions.

KONÜDAM Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tuğrul Yılmaz noted that the limited number of specialized microsurgery laboratories in the country makes access to this type of training relatively rare. He explained that the laboratory is equipped with the necessary infrastructure to provide practical instruction in microsurgery under specialized conditions.

The center offers 40-hour basic microsurgery training courses on a regular basis, welcoming around 60 participants each year from across Türkiye and abroad. The training focuses on developing fundamental microsurgical techniques through practical laboratory experience, contributing to the professional development of surgeons and medical specialists.
