The Faculty of Dentistry at Selcuk University has introduced state-of-the-art intraoral scanners, a 3D production system, and 12 new units to serve patients.
Aiming to enhance the comfort of both patients and dentists while providing students with a more equipped and modern environment for hands-on training, the Faculty of Dentistry has taken its education and healthcare services to the next level.
The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Gül Tosun, stated, “With the support of our Rectorate, 12 state-of-the-art patient chairs, an intraoral scanner, and a 3D production system have been installed in our Faculty and made available for our patients, dentists, and students. Through these investments, we aim to enhance patient comfort during treatment processes and provide dental students with a more modern and well-equipped environment for their practical training.”
Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Çetin explained, “The biggest advantage of this system is that treatment can be completed in a short time. Additionally, both potential costs and the discomfort of taking measurements are eliminated. As a result, the process becomes much more sterile. Moreover, since the design is fully controlled by the dentist, the need for a technician is minimized. It is now possible to complete the dental restoration and deliver it to the patient within an hour.”
