During Eid al-Adha, the Ministry of Health took holiday
precautions to ensure the continuity of emergency healthcare services across
the country. In this context, vehicles and healthcare teams were on standby in
the Kulu district of Konya.
Due to the increased traffic congestion following Eid
al-Adha, the Ministry of Health had helicopters, emergency ambulances, Search
and Rescue (UMKE) teams, and motorized units on standby in the Kulu district of
Konya. Kulu district is an important transportation hub in the Central Anatolia
Region, experiencing heavy traffic congestion. These measures were taken to
ensure prompt emergency healthcare services.
At the intersection of the Ankara-Konya-Kırıkkale-Aksaray
highways, which are among Turkey's important transit routes, the Kulu Junction
connects them. In the parking area of the General Directorate of Highways,
Gültekin Topçam Maintenance Facility located at Kulu Junction, ambulance
helicopters, emergency ambulances, Search and Rescue (UMKE) teams, and
motorized units were deployed for duty.
In anticipation of potential accidents due to the high
traffic volume at Kulu Junction on the last day of the holiday, a 14-member
healthcare team was on standby to provide early intervention and medical
assistance to the injured. This was done to ensure prompt response and care in
case of any accidents that might occur.
