Children Experience Entrepreneurship at Second-Hand Toy Market

Konya Metropolitan Municipality organized a Second-Hand Toy Market for children as part of its Young KOMEK Summer School program.

Continuing its summer program with a wide range of educational and recreational activities, Young KOMEK Summer School once again drew strong interest from children and their families with its annual Second-Hand Toy Market.

Featuring around 300 stalls, the event gave students the opportunity to sell toys that were still in usable condition, helping raise awareness about recycling and responsible consumption while experiencing the satisfaction of earning money through their own efforts.

Throughout the event, children had the opportunity to develop practical skills such as communication, responsibility, money management, and entrepreneurship. By setting up their own stalls and promoting their products, they gained hands-on experience, while visitors supported the initiative by purchasing toys at affordable prices.

Held at the Meram Melikşah Marketplace, the event also featured games, workshops, and a variety of social activities for children and their families. The day-long program provided families with an enjoyable experience, while allowing children to learn through play.
