Help for Turkish quake victims

Help for Turkish quake victims

The central Karatay Municipality of Konya has mobilized all its resources to help heal the wounds caused by two major earthquakes in the region. The municipality has virtually gone into an alert mode to deliver its aid to the earthquake-stricken area. Working in coordination with the Konya Governorship, the Konya Metropolitan Municipality and AFAD, the municipal teams have mobilized to deliver aid to the earthquake zone, especially in Hatay.

As part of the aid campaign that started throughout Konya, the teams from Karatay Municipality have contributed to the collection of 56 truckloads of aid materials and their delivery to Hatay. They are participating in the work of civil society organizations working under the coordination of AFAD and volunteer search and rescue teams in Hatay, which was most affected by the earthquake.

Electrician Support from KTO

The entire Turkey is mobilized for the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş. In this context, Konya Chamber of Commerce has sent its electricians to the region.

A statement from the Konya Chamber of Commerce said, "Our team consisting of electricians who set out for Kahramanmaraş last night under the organization of our chamber began their work as soon as they reached the region."

Konya Metropolitan with All Its Resources in the Earthquake zone

After one of the biggest disasters that our country has faced, Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay went to Hatay and continued his work, saying "We are here with all our resources as Konya."
