Konya Celebrates 102nd Republic Day

The 102nd anniversary of Republic Day was celebrated with a ceremony in Konya.

Governor İbrahim Akın, Garrison Commander Major General Emre Tayanç, and Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay greeted attendees. The ceremony included a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Speaking on the day’s significance, Governor Akın said, "On the 102nd anniversary of Republic Day, I respectfully and gratefully commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his fellow soldiers, and all our martyrs and veterans."

The celebrations highlighted national pride and unity, with citizens of all ages joining to honor the legacy of the Republic.
