Konya Celebrates 180th Anniversary of Turkish National Police

A ceremony was held in Konya to mark the 180th anniversary of the Turkish National Police and Police Week.

During the event at Anıt Square, wreaths were presented by the Provincial Police Department, Konya Police Services Support Association, Police Retirees Social Assistance Association, and Martyrs' Families Association.

After a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, Provincial Police Chief Maksut Yüksek stated that they work tirelessly to ensure security and peace across the country.

Emphasizing that the police organization is always by the side of the nation in every moment and under any condition, Yüksek stated, "We continue our fight with determination against threats and dangers to our unity and integrity. In this century, we are performing significant duties in every field, from combating terrorism and maintaining public order to preventing the drug threat and enhancing traffic safety, in response to the changing types of crime."
