With the 'Safe School Routes Project' of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, students can safely commute to their schools in the bicycle-friendly city of Konya.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur Ibrahim Altay expressed the significance of the "Safe School Routes" project initiated to ensure children's safe cycling to school in Konya, the city with Turkey's longest bicycle path, spanning 604 kilometers.
President Altay, emphasizing that the project contributes to raising awareness about safe bicycle use in the city, encourages cycling, and promotes environmentally friendly transportation, stated, "Our project is being successfully implemented in the designated schools. Through our training sessions, we provide information to 7th and 8th-grade students about safe cycling. As a result, students experience the joy of both a healthy lifestyle and safely reaching their desired destinations, including school. We will continue to expand and implement this exemplary project throughout our city, serving as an example for Turkey."
