Meram Municipality is preparing to once again bring car enthusiasts together with the “Classic Car Exhibition,” an event that opens the door to unforgettable memories and nostalgia.
This year, the exhibition will be held for the third time in cooperation with the Konya Classic Car Association.
Opening on Friday, August 29, the exhibition will be open to visitors free of charge for three days. In addition to the classic car displays, the venue will feature live music performances, games and entertainment for both children and adults, as well as food and beverage areas. The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge.
On the opening day at 6:30 p.m., the Gedavet Voices Ensemble will take the stage, accompanying classic car enthusiasts on their nostalgic journey with a musical performance.
As part of the event, popular artist Hatice Medine Sezen will take the stage on August 30 at 6:30 p.m. The exhibition, which will remain open for three days, will conclude on the evening of August 31.
In his statement about the event, Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş emphasized that classic cars are more than just vehicles and said:
“As Meram Municipality, we continue to enrich both the cultural and social life with the events we organize, and this year we are holding the third edition of this exhibition in cooperation with the Konya Classic Car Association. With this exhibition, we also aim to revive the city’s memory. Classic cars are no longer something people often see on the road, but they reflect the beauty of an era, bring back our memories, and remind us of the good days of the past. Perhaps that’s why they are so valuable and important. Through this exhibition, we both bring the past into the present and touch the memories of our citizens. We invite all our residents to join this nostalgic journey and hope to carry this passion on to future generations.”
